Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need To Know

How does the frying pot work?
Heat the oil and watch the built in thermometer climb to 175°C (350°F). Fry with the guard lid propped up so splatter hits the lid, not your stove. When food is done, lift the lid upright and let excess oil drain back into the pot.
Does the lid stop all oil splatter?
No frying setup stops it entirely, but the guard lid catches most of it. Your stove stays much cleaner than frying in a regular pot or skillet.
What can I cook in it?
Wings, fries, shrimp, tempura, chicken, fish, dumplings, onion rings, churros, and anything else you'd deep fry or shallow fry in oil.
Do the handles get hot?
No. The handles stay cool while you fry.
How much oil does it need?
It uses 4x less oil than a countertop deep fryer. You only need enough to cover your food.
What stovetops does it work on?
All of them. We built it to work on gas, electric, ceramic, and induction.

What does the Oil Strainer Pot do?
It's a stainless steel container with a fine mesh strainer built into the top. Pour your cooking oil through the strainer after you fry, and it catches the crumbs. You're left with clean oil, sealed and ready for next time.
How many times can I reuse the oil?
Up to 4 times. The strainer filters out food bits so the oil stays clean between uses.
How much oil does it hold?
1.5 liters, which is plenty for a full pot's worth of cooking oil.
How do I clean it?
Wipes clean in seconds. Just rinse the strainer and wipe down the pot.

What is the spider strainer for?
It lifts food in and out of hot oil from a safe distance. Stainless steel, and it drains as you lift.
What does the deep fry thermometer do?
It clips onto the rim with its probe in the oil, so you always know the exact temperature. The difference between crispy and greasy is a few degrees.
What are the frying tongs for?
They give you 12 inches of reach so food goes into hot oil gently instead of dropped from a nervous height. Slotted tips grip battered food and let oil drain as you lift. Solid stainless steel with nothing to melt.
How do the oil solidifier packets work?
Stir one packet into the pot while the oil is still warm. As it cools, the oil turns into a solid you can lift out and toss in the trash. No pouring grease down the drain. Each pack handles four full pots of oil.
